Ambush Scenario

Problem

The ambushed warband usually wins in the second turn, even though the idea is that the defending warband has carefully laid out a trap.

New Idea

The setup conditions don't change.
The fleeing warlord is not the winning criterion but an event to ending the overall battle.
Once the ambushed warlord has left the battlefield each player has two more rounds to play. Overall maximum is six rounds.

Winning Conditions

After the last round

  • The ambushed warband earns points
    • if warlord has left the battlefield - x points
    • for each unit that has left the battlefield - x points
  • The ambushing warband earns points
    • for each ambushed unit destroyed - x points
    • for the ambushed warlord still on the battlefield or beaten - x points
    • for each ambushed unit still on the battlefield - x/2 points

In a campaign

Ambushed units and the warlord still on the battlefield are captured by a chance of x.
